    After your last experience, I would vote for Batman Arkham Asylum. The game is great, and the sequel is in the news a lot lately. Seems very topical.

    Assassin's Creed. Play that game so that you can get to the awesome sequels that much sooner.

    I'm gonna go Batman on this one and then do Assassin's Creed next. I estimate I'm more than half way through AC, so it will be a non-threatening followup to Batman.
